Out of Service Erase for Lexmark MFP

1. Turn off the printer.

2. Press and hold the 2 and 6 buttons at the same time.

3. While you are holding the two buttons, turn on the printer.

4. Release the buttons after 10 seconds.  Then wait for the printer to displays the Configuration Menu in the Panel Screen. 

5. In the Configuration Menu, navigate to 'Wipe All Settings' and press 'Start' button.

    The printer will start restoring all the settings.

To erase volatile memory or buffered data in your printer

1. Just turn off the printer.

To erase non-volatile memory (refers to individual settings, device and network settings, security settings, and embedded solutions), do the following:

1. From the home screen, touch Settings > Device > Maintenance > Out of Service Erase
2. Select the 'Sanitize all information on nonvolatile memory' check box
3. Then touch 'Erase' button.
4. Follow the instructions on the display.
